“I’m sorry we are closed, and we aren’t sure for how long…there’s a skunk inside the buiding.”
Seriously!? A skunk? In a bank? How does that even happen! This was one of the many obstacles thrown at me today. Have you ever had one of those days where you just want a re-do? Today was one of those day for me. I may have grumbled about the bank being closed and having to drive out of my way, I may have gotten impatient and grouchy waiting for my sons doctors appointment today, and I may have lost my temper more than once with my children. Lucky for me, God provides grace!
“Be always humble, gentle, and patient. Show your love by being tolerant with one another.” Ephesians 4:2
All day today I felt like I was being tested because it seemed like no matter what I did, how I reacted, or how I changed my plans something went wrong. Ephesians 4:2 reminds us to remain humble, gentle and patient and that you can show love by being tolerant.
God never promised us that life would be easy, that things would go perfectly or that we wouldn’t encounter times where we struggled with being humble, gentle and patient. It’s ok to stumble. It’s ok to have bad days. But it’s important to remember, that through every less than perfect day, every trial, and every storm you go through God remains faithful in his promises. When your soul is tired lean into Him.
